If you have a friend on Skype online you can easily talk to you with video call, audio call or messaging chat. You may need to set up Skype online when you first time use it. Now I am explaining that how to set up Skype on your computer and you can easily use step by step with pictures.

You have a new Skype account; you are ready to log in to Skype. Type your Skype Name in the name box and Password in the password box then click 'Sign In' button.

If you can't find your friend's name, I suggest you that you can search for a friend their email ID. Cause an email ID is unique. If your friend has already a Skype name, Skype will find them easily by their email ID.
Otherwise your friend is not registered or using another email ID that you don't know. Then try them full name but it is difficult to find your friend because Skype will display all the individuals that match within the search criteria. So you will show that many people with the name name. Be carefully showed that you're sending invitation of the correct person.
3. Click Add to Contact then show a message box. You can include a massage with your friend request. Now you click the 'Send' button to confirm your contact request.
The new contact is added to contact list, but you will see a question mark of their status icon until your friend accept your request. Once your friend accepts your request, you'll be connected anytime with your friend into Skype. You can add more contacts in the same way at any time.
When your friends are logging into Skype online then you show the green icon which indicates your friends is online into Skype otherwise they are offline.
If you want to remove contact from your contact list. Select the contact then click Contacts' menu ⇒ Remove from Contact.
If your friends are online Skype then you will see the small green logo. You can talk to your friend with video or audio call. Click on the friend name.
For Video call click on the 'Video call' and for Audio call click on the 'Call'.
If your friends are offline, you can also call to landlines and mobile phones with a low fee anywhere in the world. For calling landline or mobile phone call, click Call ⇒ Call phone. You will need to purchase Skype credit. If you will buy Skype credit, then click Buy Skype Credit. You also see all rates.
You can send text messages to your friend if your friend in online Skype. Click on the contact name you want to send messages. Type your message and click 'Send'. Your friend will receive your message.
You will also send any file to your friend. For sending file click Conversation ⇒ Send ⇒ File. Then open a new window. Select your file then you will see.
